CA Health Equity Committee meets in Marin City

September 28, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Free

California’s Department of Public Health has an Office of Health Equity, focused on reducing health and mental health disparities to vulnerable communities, like those MCHWC serves.

Usually, the OHE Advisory Committee meets in Sacramento. Demonstrating their commitment to groundbreaking cross-sectoral partnerships, they have chosen Marin City as the location for the September 2017 meeting. Please attend as a community member and stakeholder!

The OHE consults with local organizations and governmental agencies to ensure that individual perspectives and input are included in policies and any strategic plans, recommendations, and implementation activities.

A special presentation about Marin City will be made at 11:00am by Dr. Grant Colfax, Director of Marin Health and Human Services, and JayVon Muhammad, CEO of Marin City Health and Wellness Center.
