Join us for an interview with Alex Kotlowitz, an award-winning journalist and best selling author who was described by Ta-Nehisi Coates as “One of our great American journalists.” Then, see Kotlowitz’s film, The Interrupters, an award-winning documentary examining the stubborn persistence of urban violence through the moving and surprising stories of three Violence Interrupters who try to protect their Chicago communities.
This event launches a quarterly series on poverty, racism and health – and a $800,000 renovation campaign to remodel our newly purchased building in Marin City!
