Free Support Group: Expressive Art for Positive Thoughts

February 13, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

Drop-in for a free group during our 6-week session on Expressive Art for Positive Thoughts. Take care of you in 2018! All groups will meet in the conference room of the Marin City Community Services District, across from the boxing gym. Attend one or attend all!

Expressive Arts for Positive Thoughts

This group combines cognitive behavioral therapy (mindfulness and evidence-based treatment) with expressive arts, to explore patterns of thought and shift the way we see ourselves and the world. First we will discover the stories we maintain, how they define and protect us and how they limit us. Life can be challenging, but where we do have creative control is how we think and how we feel about it. We get to choose our way of thinking and how we react. In group we will reflect on our stories, work towards a more positive outlook and refine our lens to attain a more accurate view of our life, ourselves and those around us. Facilitator: Deborah Spake, MFTA. Tuesdays at 1:00pm.
