Drop-in for a free group during our 6-week session on Parent Toolbox. Take care of you in 2018! All groups will meet in the conference room of the Marin City Community Services District, across from the boxing gym. Attend one or attend all!
This group offers an opportunity for parents to come together to support each other. The act of parenthood is something none of us have been trained for: there is no manual and we do the best we can. While it is a place for us to grow – it can also include our biggest moments of frustration and defeat. In this group we will practice appreciating how wonderful we are as parents (already) and, at the same time, incorporate new tools that are effective with children at different levels of development, discuss how to set limits and improve our parent-child relationship. Parenthood can be isolating – this group will be a place where we can resource and feel empathy in life’s greatest journey and most humbling experience – raising a human being! Facilitator: Deborah Spake, MFTA. Thursdays 2:00pm.
